Upward Health Expands Care to Pediatric Populations
Upward Health is proud to announce the launch of pediatric services, marking the company’s expansion from serving adult populations to caring for patients across the lifespan. Beginning in California, this milestone represents an important step in Upward Health’s continued growth as we bring our whole-person care model to children and families.
Developed in response to growing demand from health plan partners, Upward Health’s pediatric services are designed to support children and adolescents with complex physical, behavioral, and social needs. Our multidisciplinary care teams work alongside families, providers, and community organizations to deliver personalized, coordinated care that helps children access the services and resources they need to thrive.

Launching pediatric services represents more than a new offering, it reflects our investment in building the expertise and infrastructure needed to care for children. To support this expansion, we have welcomed Dr. Laura Livaditis as Pediatric Medical Director, expanded our pediatric-focused clinical staff, and enhanced our care delivery processes to meet the unique needs of pediatric patients and their families.
Our initial pediatric services focus on children and adolescents with complex needs, including:
- Housing instability
- Serious mental illness or emotional disturbance
- Frequent emergency department and hospital utilization
- Complex medical conditions requiring coordinated care
- Social barriers that impact health and well-being
As our pediatric program grows, Upward Health looks forward to expanding services to additional populations and geographies while continuing to strengthen partnerships that improve care for children and families.
