Upward Health Names Scott Farnsworth Chief Information Officer

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. / November 5, 2026 — Upward Health, a national provider of whole-person healthcare, today announced the appointment of Scott Farnsworth as Chief Information Officer. Farnsworth will lead the company’s technology strategy, with a focus on artificial intelligence, data and analytics, and digital innovation. His work will strengthen clinical decision-making, reduce administrative burden, and help care teams better serve patients with complex needs.

Farnsworth brings more than 25 years of healthcare technology leadership and a distinctive clinical perspective. He began his career as an intensive care nurse, experience that continues to shape how he applies emerging technologies like AI to real clinical and operational challenges.

“AI has enormous potential in healthcare, but its value comes down to how thoughtfully it’s put to work. Scott brings a rare combination of deep technology expertise and firsthand clinical experience. He will help us deepen the use of AI and data across our care model, giving our clinicians sharper insights that drive better outcomes for the patients we serve.”

— Glen Moller | Upward Health CEO

Farnsworth has held healthcare technology leadership roles at high-growth organizations and Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer at Confluent Health, where he led enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, and AI initiatives across a nationwide network of nearly 900 clinics. His work there strengthened clinical operations, expanded data and analytics capabilities, and improved operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. At Visor Health, he led the development of an AI-enabled clinical platform integrating diagnostics, clinical decision support, and telehealth. Earlier roles at Humana and Kindred Healthcare focused on population health, value-based care, and technology-enabled care delivery.

“The opportunity with AI isn’t to replace the human side of healthcare. It’s to make it stronger. Upward Health cares for patients with incredibly complex needs, and our teams need the right information at the right moment. I’m excited to advance how we use AI and data to surface actionable insights, simplify the work around care, and give our clinicians more time with their patients.”
