Regional Medical Director

AKA: The Nurturer

Chris serves as Regional Medical Director at Upward Health, overseeing the development and management of physical health programs and clinical teams across the Arizona and California markets. He brings broad experience across diverse care settings, including work with several innovative medical models that enhance patient care delivery.

A board-certified emergency medicine physician, Chris earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. He is a member of the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).

Outside of work, Chris loves gardening and landscape design, and volunteers at local arboretums and botanical gardens. This passion grew from multiple generations on both sides of his Wisconsin-based family all the way back to his great grandparents who lived until he was in middle school. He also has eclectic taste in music – if stranded on a desert island he would be listening to 80s electronic rock like Depeche Mode and Grunge.
